Hill’s math classes provide an individualized, multisensory approach to teaching mathematics for students experiencing difficulties in math. Classes utilizes the same methodology and 4:1 student-teacher ratio as Hill’s school. Through initial and ongoing assessments, instruction focuses on increasing fluency, building number sense, reviewing previously learned skills, learning problem solving strategies, and building new curricular skills. Instruction focuses on a sequential progression of skills, immediate feedback, and the initial use of hands-on, visual learning to build concept understanding. Skills are taught and reinforced through 6 components:
Fluency, Number Sense, Review, Problem Solving, Curriculum, & Reflection

Participants must currently be in grades 1 to 3.
